HR leaders from Sanofi and Cardinal Health reveal the future of work in the pharma and medtech sectors
Human Resources: Forces of change are impacting three major dimensions of work: the work itself, who does the work, and where work is done. It’s important to consider multiple trends and how they are changing all aspects of work, with implications for individuals, businesses and society.
Michelle Zimany, Director, Human Resources ANZ at Sanofi and Farrukh Ahmad, HRBP Manager at Cardinal Health ANZ joined Health Industry Hub to discuss the trends driving the evolution of work, workforces and workplaces in the pharma and medtech sectors.
The pandemic has strained and tested the worker-employer relationship beyond anyone’s anticipation. Michelle and Farrukh reflected on how the worker-employer relationship has evolved, and which factors have the greatest influence on the relationship moving forward.
‘Manager quality’ still remains the top reason Australian employees are leaving their workplace. In an employment market that is currently favouring job seekers, Michelle and Farrukh revealed the key challenges that leaders need to overcome to foster the right culture in retaining their staff.
Companies have also started investing in ‘future of work’ initiatives. These HR leaders from the pharma and medtech sectors shared their views on how employers can make the future of work more valuable and meaningful for the multigenerational workforce, leaders and the business.
