AusBioTech J&J Company of the Year Award – PolyNovo

PolyNovo has been named ‘Company of the Year’ in the AusBiotech and Johnson & Johnson Innovation Industry Excellence Awards at AusBiotech 2019.
The award is for commercialising PolyNovo’s NovoSorb BTM, a bio-resorbable dermal scaffold used in the regeneration of lost tissue through surgical excision, infections, trauma or burns. The product delivers life saving and life changing outcomes for patients and is changing clinical practice worldwide.
Paul Brennan, PolyNovo CEO, said” We are honoured and humbled to win such a prestigious award. However, this is as much an award for CSIRO technology, the translational support of Professor John Greenwood at the Royal Adelaide Hospital, our chief scientist Dr Tim Moore and more recently the support of Dr Marcus Wagstaff of Royal Adelaide Hospital and all the surgeons who now champion the product. Bringing this product to the world is a team effort by all our staff in Australia, US and the UK.”
David Williams, PolyNovo Chairperson, said “On behalf of our staff and shareholders we thank AusBiotech and Johnson & Johnson Innovation for the award, but we know this is the beginning of our journey and the best is yet to come”.
PolyNovo recently began sales of NovoSorb BTM in Australia, New Zealand, USA, India, South Africa, Saudi Arabia and Israel. We anticipate sales in the near term in Singapore, Malaysia, UK, and the European Union.
