International SOS supporting PNG and Australian governments in vaccination programme delivery

Health Industry Hub | March 30, 2021 |

Pharma News: International SOS is utilising its extensive medical and health resources in Papua New Guinea to support the Australian Government and the Government of Papua New Guinea in the all-important rollout of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Access to free vaccination is essential across the globe to halt the spread of COVID-19. In the Asia Pacific, nowhere is this currently more important than in Papua New Guinea. Australia is working in partnership with Papua New Guinea to support the safe delivery of COVID-19 vaccines.

This week Papua New Guinea will begin its vaccination program starting with essential health workers in Port Moresby.

International SOS will be leading the delivery of the vaccination program in Papua New Guinea.

International SOS is well placed to deliver this important service. It has been in Papua New Guinea for 28 years and employs more than 400 PNG national health workers and is one of the largest providers of private health services in the country.
