STEM CAREERS FORUM: HEALTH FIRST SUMMIT 2027

The STEM Careers Forum is taking place during the Health First Summit on 18 February 2027 in Sydney. The Forum will run from 1pm-5pm, concurrently with the plenary sessions.

The Forum aims to support the nationwide effort to strengthen Australia’s STEM pipeline and future workforce. It gives STEM professionals exposure to industry leaders, mentoring opportunities, practical insights into industry career paths, and future-focused skills.

The STEM Careers Forum aims to:

• Address knowledge gaps for STEM professionals and early-career talent who want to transition into industry roles
• Debunk myths and misconceptions relating to industry career paths
• Enhance industry reputation
• Bridge STEM talent and industry for tomorrow

The STEM Program Committee is seeking speakers to participate in panels or present at the STEM Careers Forum. We are inviting mid-career industry professionals from the pharma, medtech, diagnostics and biotech sectors to get involved. Please submit the speaker form below by 5pm on 7 September.

• From STEM to Industry: Making the Transition
• Real Stories: My Journey into Pharma, Medtech, Diagnostics or Biotech sectors
• Decoding the Scope of Industry Careers
• Elevator Pitch
• Networking, Mentoring and Building an Industry Profile

Please complete the speaker form below and submit your application by 7 September 2026. Successful speakers will be notified by 1 October 2026.
