World Cancer Day 2020
People across Australia will come together on 4 February to reduce the impact of cancer around the world.
2020 marks the 20th anniversary of World Cancer Day.
It is a time to ignite action – working together to reduce of unnecessary cancer deaths and to achieve equal access to cancer care for all.
This year’s theme is I Am And I Will. It is an empowering call-to-action, urging for personal commitment and representing the power of individual action taken now to impact the future.
So what can you do this World Cancer Day?
Everybody will recognise the day in their own personal way.
It could be a personal commitment to take part in cancer screening or live a healthier lifestyle. It could be an opportunity to reach out to a loved one or friend who has been impacted by cancer. Or it could just be a great time to show your support on social media.
Events are also happening across Australia – find one near you.
