Live Fearless Challenge: Be fearless your own way

Health Industry Hub | August 28, 2019 |

By 2022, it’s expected that more than 100,000 Australians will be living with Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis. For over 30 years, Crohn’s & Colitis Australia’s mission has been to make lives more liveable for people living with Crohn’s and colitis.

There is little understanding in the community about Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis and symptoms are often invisible. For the Australians living with Crohn’s and colitis it’s a constant and often unseen struggle living with serious gut diseases that impact their personal, social and work lives.

Have you registered for the Live Fearless Challenge?

The Live Fearless Challenge starts in 1 week!

Walk, run, cycle, or swim a total of 150km during the month of September 2019 to help raise awareness and vital funds for people living with Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis.

You can raise funds your way. Run, walk, swim, cycle, or mix it up! You choose where, when, and how you complete this challenge. Participate as an individual or get together with friends or work mates and form a team.

For more information and to register for the Live Fearless Challenge visit www.livefearlesschallenge.com.au

What Crohn’s & Colitis Australia does

At Crohn’s & Colitis Australia (CCA), we envision a future where no one lives with or suffers from Crohn’s or colitis. In the meantime, CCA aims to support people living with Crohn’s or colitis through research, education, advocacy and support.

We’re driven to raise awareness of Crohn’s and colitis in the community, help people with Crohn’s or colitis get better support and care through education in the health system, and increase our knowledge about treatments and possible causes of Crohn’s and colitis as we build research capacity in the search for a cause or a cure.

In 2018, our inaugural Live Fearless Challenge was a huge success, with 5,000 people involved, walking or running more than 46,000 kilometres. In the process, they raised $240,000 to help fund new and ongoing research, education, advocacy and support initiatives.

Join the Crohn’s and Colitis Hub community for information and support.
