From pandemic evolution to future trends: Janssen reveals success behind PR campaign

Marketing & Strategy: In recognising and celebrating excellence in healthcare marketing and communications in the pharmaceutical and life science industry, Health Industry Hub was the proud media partner for the PRIME Awards again this year.
Janssen was crowned the winner of the Best PR Campaign – Commercial and Corporate for the launch of Spravato (esketamine) – a novel antidepressant nasal spray for the treatment of major depressive disorder (MDD).
Janssen’s Adam Wyldeck, Head of Communications & Public Affairs and Marcelo Blanchard, Business Unit Director of Neuroscience joined Health Industry Hub to reveal the unmet clinical need behind the award-winning campaign and the key factors that made this PR campaign such a success.
The duo reflected on how PR has evolved since the start of the pandemic and why this is so relevant to the pharma industry. They discussed the shift in approaches to measuring the success of PR campaigns and the new KPIs that are shaping how we look at the ROI of these investments.
Finally, Adam and Marcelo considered what the future of PR looks like and the key trends that will be essential in supporting more impactful launches of innovative medicines and therapies in the pharma industry.
