Key recommendations for data access to modernise Australia’s healthcare system post COVID-19

Almost every industry and every Australian has been impacted in some way by COVID-19. Changes to the healthcare industry have included restrictions and reductions in medical services, and limitations on certain medicines. As a result, the Senate established a Committee to inquire into the Australian Government’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In an interview with Health Industry Hub, Dr Peter Cronin, Co-Founder and Head of Data and Partnerships at Prospection, welcomed the inquiry and discussed Prospection’s submission and key recommendations focusing on Why healthcare data access is critical.

The key recommendations proposed address the critical need for data access in response to the terms of reference of the inquiry into the Australian government’s response to COVID-19.
