MTAA – Finalist in Health Industry Hub Awards
MedTech News: The Medical Technology Association of Australia (MTAA) is honoured to be nominated as a finalist in Health Industry Hub’s 2022 Catalyst For Change Awards. Health Industry Hub has recognised its podcast with MTAA: ‘APHA and CHF recognise medtech commitment to Prostheses List agreement but focus must ‘switch to true reforms’ of private health insurance’ as being on their “Top Podcasts” in the News & Trends category.
MTAA CEO Ian Burgess said “MTAA is grateful for the recognition by Health Industry Hub for its coverage and the engagement we received through the podcast. Many of our member companies have products on the Prostheses List and it’s important that the rest of the medical industry recognises the importance of retaining choice in our health system.”
“Our friends at the Australian Private Hospitals Association and the Consumers Health Forum have been strong supporters of patient access and clinician choice. So we have them and our members to thank in supporting the wider private health sector’s advocacy efforts and the many other important stakeholders, for bringing this important issue to the forefront of debate in the sector,” Mr Burgess said.
The Health Industry Hub Catalyst for Change Awards recognise the most viewed webinars and top podcasts with leaders and change makers that have been accessed by subscribers to HIH across the Pharma, MedTech and Biotech industries.
As Health Industry Hub explains “The high level of engagement indicates a strong appetite for industry professionals to connect with like-minded learners, challenge the status quo and develop future-ready strategies to build better selves and better communities.”
Mr Burgess also congratulated the other nominees in the News & Trends category and the four other categories, noting that every nominee has an important role to play in being catalysts for change in the healthcare sector. “I congratulate everyone on their high levels of engagement and thank Health Industry Hub for creating these awards.”
The winners of the 2022 Catalysts for Change Awards will be announced on Monday 12th December.
