Emerging ESG trends impacting the medtech sector
MedTech News: Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) issues continue to create a paradigm shift in the way businesses are run. Consumers, governments, regulators and other healthcare stakeholders are turning the spotlight on companies and demanding bold action.
Ahead of the MedTech22 Annual Conference on 6-7 October, Gordon Stenning with 40 years of experience in the medtech sector, joined Health Industry Hub in this podcast to discuss the state of play in ESG and the key themes around the session titled Environmental, social and governance (ESG): The coming wave of sustainability requirements.
Australia has no overarching source of ESG regulation. There is a growing need for companies to be ready and able to prepare ESG-related statements that are both credible and all-inclusive to ensure that actions by a company can withstand any legal and regulatory exposure and meet critical stakeholder expectations.
Gordon shares his views on the current challenges facing companies in achieving their ESG ambitions and the future trends in ESG reporting and disclosures that will impact the Australian medtech industry.
