Device Technologies expands APAC footprint
MedTech & Diagnostics News: Device Technologies Group has made its first acquisition in Southeast Asia with a focus on Malaysia and Singapore.
The company has entered into an agreement to acquire the Venusys and Infinity Group of Companies, which includes Fusion Scientific, Bits Medical, and Vennbio Nutriceutical.
This move marks Device Technologies Group’s entry into the point-of-care imaging technology market and enhances its presence in the aesthetics sector. The acquisition aims to leverage Device’s Asia Pacific footprint to expand beyond Malaysia and Singapore.
Nathaniel McLay, Managing Director Asia at Device Technologies Group, expressed enthusiasm about the acquisition, stating, “This is a significant advancement for Device Technologies Group. This purchase will enable us to advance our mission of delivering cutting-edge solutions and exceptional service to healthcare professionals across the APAC region.”
Founded in 2005, Venusys Medical Sdn Bhd specialises in laser- and light-based equipment, serving the aesthetic and surgical markets in Malaysia. Infinity Medical Sdn Bhd, established in 2003, is a key player in Malaysia’s healthcare sector, focusing on distributing point-of-care imaging equipment.
The acquisition also includes Bits Medical, providing radiographic equipment and support services; Fusion Scientific, involved in medical-grade skincare solutions; and Vennbio Nutriceutical, known for skin whitening products.
McLay emphasised, “It was clear that both Venusys, Infinity Medical and their affiliated companies align perfectly with our strategic growth plan and share our values of delivering superior health outcomes for our customers and patients. We’re incredibly excited about the opportunities this partnership will bring to the region,”
