Philips leader talks virtual care as key to a consumer-centric future of health
Digital & Innovation: In an interview with Health Industry Hub, Dan Ball, Leader APAC, EMR & Care Management at Philips, discussed the evolution of novel virtual health innovations and their accelerated adoption as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Virtual care should be a foundational element of a consumer-centric future of health. Dan reflected on the benefits that have emerged and the key pain points impacting key stakeholders that still need to be addressed, including the current funding models.
Dan shared Philips’ virtual care strategy and how it is being integrated into the business. He noted “What we all need to take away from the last couple of years, as a group of stakeholders involved at our core around the patient, is to not let the momentum go. We have a great opportunity to really change the care models and the patient experience through healthcare in Australia. [Philips] is definitely excited to be part of the puzzle bringing that to the future.”
