Patient advocacy group sets sights on future of interactions with industry

Pharma News: Partnerships between industry and patient advocacy organisations provide opportunities to better understand the complexities of patients’ healthcare journeys, their expected outcomes and the challenges they face in enhancing, supporting and promoting the patient voice.
These collaborations have become more critical as they often result in improved public policies around disease education, awareness, patient access to treatments, clinical research, and, ultimately, improved health outcomes.
Ann Single from Patient Voice Initiative joined Health Industry Hub to discuss the research the organisation is embarking on to identify the diversity within the breadth of patient communities, and to develop a framework to enhance and optimise the interactions between patient advocacy organisations and the biopharma industry.
