Naicker steps up to Asia Pacific remit at Hologic

Health Industry Hub | October 2, 2026 |

Kensi Naicker has been appointed Vice President and General Manager, Breast and Skeletal Health Solutions, Asia Pacific at Hologic, expanding his leadership remit across the region after two years as General Manager of Hologic Australia & New Zealand.

Naicker brings more than 25 years of healthcare experience across a range of roles with multinational organisations to his new position. His experience includes defining go-to-market strategies, as well as developing local partnerships with start-ups and complementary businesses to integrate AI and software into existing products and capital equipment solutions. He also served as Vice President for the Diagnostic Imaging & Monitoring Association (DIMA) and Co-Deputy Chair on the board of Pathology Technology Australia (PTA).

“The best part of this role is the people. Our team across Asia Pacific is passionate about ensuring that clinicians have access to the best technology that Hologic has, to help in their mission of ensuring earlier detection and better outcomes for women. I am looking forward to leading them into our next phase of growth,” he said. “Thank you to my leaders Tim Simpson, Jyoti Gupta and colleagues for the opportunity.”

His appointment comes as Hologic continues to advance technologies designed to support earlier detection and improve the efficiency of breast imaging. The company’s 3DQuorum imaging technology demonstrates AI’s potential to streamline radiologists’ workflows while upholding high sensitivity in detecting breast cancer.

Based on more than 119,000 screening mammography exams, a recent study compared cancer detection rates before and after the adoption of 3DQuorum. The technology uses AI to reduce the number of 3D imaging “slices” radiologists need to review without compromising image quality, sensitivity or accuracy. In the simplest terms, the technology is comparable to condensing a 60-page book into a 10-page summary that retains all relevant information and highlights key findings.

The study found no significant difference in cancer detection rates after implementation of 3DQuorum. Against a backdrop of ongoing radiologist shortages, the findings suggest the technology’s potential to streamline radiologists’ workflows and save time while maintaining high effectiveness in detecting cancers.

Hologic’s commitment to women’s health extends beyond the development of innovative medical technologies, encompassing greater advocacy around women’s health issues. Recently, the company launched its Women’s Health Index and was the Premiere Presenting Sponsor of the Australian documentary Conquering Breast Cancer, which shines a light on the lived experiences of women affected by breast cancer and the importance of early detection, treatment and research.
